Between 13-15th of February 1945, the Allies made the most infamous and controversial bomb attack of the Second World War on German territory. 770 Avro Lancaster and 600 B-17 bombers participated in the attack which triggered massive firestorms killing nearly 30,000 people and devastating most of the ancient city of Dresden.
